Implementing Programs During COVID-19

You want to change a problem or challenge you see in the world. But, how do you start a new program? How do you make changes? Is the process supposed to feel so confusing?

This guide walks through some of the processes I use with clients of all sizes implementing programs, projects and initiatives. The intention is to make sure they show up in the work and feel more clarity.

Right now, organizations and individuals feel overwhelm, confusion, sadness and fear navigating programs, initiatives, and projects. Especially those looking to implement new projects, programs, or initiatives.

If that's something you feel, you're not alone.

And while many resources cover specific aspects of very specific initiatives, rarely do resources pan out to talk through the bigger picture of starting programs. This creates the tendency to look for and put in place template programs, using template actions, or taking a template approach.  But you're not working with template communities. Templates are great for ideas, they may not be responsive to your communities or needs.

So how can you ideate, test, and implement new programs or initiatives in a way that is centered an embedded in the community? How do you make sure the culture, value, vision, passions, and interests of an organization or individual show up in the program?

The answer all comes down to process. You've got to create a process for yourself that doesn't require a ton of time or more money.

In this guide you'll learn:

  • Why it's important to move away from the rigidity of planning programs and move closer to the flexible process of framing.
  • Examples of .
  • Ideas for bringing in revenue to support projects, programs, initiatives. As well as factors to keep in mind when putting revenue streams in place.
  • Brainstorm ways to engage with communities and  develop your projects, programs, initiatives during COVID.

This is part one of a series. The next guide will touch more on specifics around COVID and navigating limitations so stay tuned.

And always, please feel free to reach out with questions.
