FAQ's
What If I only have questions?
Well who doesn't? If you're on the fence and want to walk through alternatives, or better understand the formation process, let's meet for coffee.
WE HAVE BUDGET CONSTRAINTS, CAN I MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS?
Absolutely. If you're waiting on a grant, in the process of re-working the budget or have other constraints just let me know so we can discuss a more convenient arrangement.
what if i need you for something not on the service page?
Also not a problem. We can discuss and customize a solution based on your specific need right now, still planning for the future. And bill instead at an hourly rate.
Can I meet with you first?
Did you even have to ask? I'm always available to set up a coffee, tea or Skype .
Well, but do I need an attorney?
Setting up any type of social venture requires you to put in place a legal entity, using legal documents, operating in a way that is legally compliant. There will be developments you're not aware of, language you don't understand, and there will be questions; all of which is normal! Google common social venture terms, and you'll get back millions of responses. Look up a robo-law page, and you run the risk of getting advice that isn't tailored to what you do or where you are located.
The question isn't whether or not you need an attorney, the question is when to bring in an attorney. And I'm here to help you strategically figure that out.

I HEARD I CAN FILE ON MY OWN, WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU?
My value doesn't com in the physical filing, you're right.
My value comes in understanding everything else around filing, for example:
- Explaining the implications of filing and what filing means,
- Helping you understand the reasons why the State asks the questions it asks,
- Putting together formation agreements and documents,
- Getting you to think ahead about potential traps or pitfalls,
- Strategizing to make sure the entity chosen, and agreements drafted, meet specific needs, and
- Getting you answers to your "what next" questions after filing.
My responsibility is to make sure clients are comfortable with the legal so they can focus on the business. And to serve as a long-term go-to as the business developments.
